Il&nbsp;reste de ce ch\u00e2teau une belle salle des gardes du XIII\u00e8me si\u00e8cle, un jardin \u00e9tonnant en ce lieu, dessin\u00e9 sur les ex-corps des logis, et une tour ronde dite \u00ab\u00a0de C\u00e9sar\u00a0\u00bb et d&rsquo;o\u00f9 l&rsquo;on jouit d&rsquo;une vue exceptionnelle sur la r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n<p>En suivant les rues pav\u00e9es de galets irr\u00e9guliers, on peut d\u00e9couvrir des maisons encastr\u00e9es se regroupent autour de petites places, de riches b\u00e2tisses en calcaire&nbsp;adoss\u00e9es \u00e0 la forteresse, des h\u00f4tels particuliers flanqu\u00e9s de tourelles et de tours coiff\u00e9es en poivri\u00e8re datent du XVe si\u00e8cle.<\/p>\n<p>En plus des nombreuses belles demeures anciennes, le village conserve deux monuments religieux : la coll\u00e9giale du XVIe si\u00e8cle et la chapelle des Capucins du XVIIe si\u00e8cle.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #00ff00;\"><em><strong>Voir les photos qui l\u2019entourent. Seule une pente raide, ferm\u00e9e jadis par trois portes successives, y donne acc\u00e8s. L&rsquo;une d&rsquo;entre elles a peut \u00eatre abrit\u00e9 l&rsquo;Auditoire de la Justice. p\u00e9riode m\u00e9di\u00e9val, le quartier des officiers est compos\u00e9 de petites maisons nobles accompagn\u00e9es parfois de petites tourelles. Ce site accueillait autrefois les chevaliers du ch\u00e2teau, avant d&rsquo;abriter les logis des officiers de l&rsquo;administration et de la justice. On peut encore apercevoir sur les murs de ses anciennes b\u00e2tisses des \u00e9cussons grav\u00e9s dans la pierre. Exemple parfait de la Contre-R\u00e9forme triomphante, peu avant la R\u00e9vocation de l&rsquo;Edit de Nantes, l&rsquo;aust\u00e9rit\u00e9 de sa construction presque militaire, la nudit\u00e9 de ses murs autrefois blanchis, forment un profond contraste avec la splendeur dor\u00e9e de son tabernacle-retable, con\u00e7u par les fr\u00e8res Tournier de Gourdon en 1678. Les vitraux, translucides \u00e0 l&rsquo;origine, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 remplac\u00e9s par des verri\u00e8res color\u00e9es, d&rsquo;un atelier toulousain, vers 1880.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:
